Diversity on the Wing

When it comes to diversity, birds know how to put on a show. Birds have invaded all seven continents by land, air, and sea. From the smallest bird (the bee hummingbird) to the largest bird (the ostrich), and more than 10,000 other species in between. Our member Michael Fath created this mosaic of 42 different species of birds in silhouette to celebrate the diversity of our feathered friends. Together, they strike their own individual pose to form the silhouette of an eagle in flight. Within this soaring bird in flight you’ll find a toucan, roadrunner, kiwi, owl, vulture, flamingo, pelican, turkey, and more.
